Hawaii Beach Proposal at Po’olenalena Beach
It was a beautiful day in Wailea. Ana thought this was just a regular photoshoot, which—let’s be honest—was part of the fun! Riccardo and I had this Hawaii beach proposal all planned out, keeping her in the dark so he could drop the most epic surprise. He got down on one knee with the waves crashing and a gentle breeze in the air. Watching Ana’s expression shift from surprise to joy was magic. Fun fact: Ana is from Brazil, just like me, and Riccardo is from Italy, so this proposal brought a whole lot of international romance to Hawaii’s already rad vibes. Po’olenalena Beach might never recover from how sweet these two made it look.

Po‘olenalena Beach is the perfect mix of beauty and calm. The golden sand, unique lava rocks, and epic sunsets make it an ideal spot for something special, like a proposal. Unlike some of Maui’s busier beaches, it’s usually quiet, so you can enjoy the moment without a crowd watching. Walking along the shore or enjoying the view feels personal and private—exactly what you’d want for a significant milestone or just some time to connect. Simple, beautiful, and totally unforgettable.
Pulling off a flawless hawaii beach proposal
Riccardo pulled off the ultimate surprise for Ana. He had planned every detail, keeping her entirely in the dark. As they walked along the shore, Ana thought it was just a fun couples’ session—until Riccardo dropped to one knee. Her reaction was pure joy. Even though they were nervous about their (first!) couples’ session, it couldn’t have gone more perfectly. Capturing this moment was incredible—everything came together flawlessly. Proposals like these are always so cool to be a part of. Po’olenalena Beach was the perfect backdrop, and I can’t recommend it enough for couples wanting something intimate and unforgettable. Ana and Riccardo, congratulations—you two made my job way too easy!

“I’ve booked a surprise proposal shooting with Rodrigo and he has been THE BEST from the first minute. I admit that I’ve been a pain in the ass for him because I was always replying late and asking questions over question but he’s always been kind, polite, professional and honest. We met at the beach and me and my fiancée were really stressed out because we’ve never had a shooting together before.
