Maui, Hawaii Elopement | Ironwoods Beach
Cara and Justin’s Maui, Hawaii elopement at Ironwoods Beach was everything they dreamed of—intimate, moody, and full of genuine moments. It was just the two of them, their son, and the Maui coastline as their witness. Skipping the guest list allowed them to focus on their love story, the details that made the day uniquely theirs, and the chance to savor every second without distractions. The vibe was quiet. And, of course, Ironwoods Beach did not disappoint—it provided the perfect stage for the moody, timeless photos they were after.
From flirty bar meetups to a rooftop proposal
Justin and Cara’s love story started with a playful mix of social media flirtation and a well-timed visit to the local bar where she worked. One night, Justin finally stopped by during one of her shifts, and whatever plans Cara had to meet up with friends afterward flew out the window—because when sparks fly, you roll with it, right? Fast forward to sunset on their rooftop patio, where Justin enlisted Cara’s son in a “prank” to secretly capture the moment. Little did he know, he was about to record a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Cue the waterworks—there were tears, laughter, and a toast with champagne and sparkling juice to seal the deal. It was the perfect mix of humor, love, and the kind of meaningful connection that makes you realize these moments are the ones that count.
The Perfect Maui, Hawaii Elopement: Cara and Justin’s Intimate Ceremony at Oneloa Beach
Ironwoods Beach (Oneloa) is one of my favorite spots for an intimate elopement—you’ll catch that on my blog on the top five Maui elopement locations. The golden sands, rugged cliffs at Dragon’s Teeth, and endless ocean views are unbeatable. What truly made Cara and Justin’s ceremony unforgettable was their 10-year-old son stepping up as the officiant. Talk about bravery! He took his role seriously, writing the entire ceremony in a little book, and he nailed it. The whole thing was a beautiful family affair—just the three of them, surrounded by nature, with their son leading the way. To top it all off, they had the talented Jules Trowbridge playing music before and after the ceremony. It was heartfelt, personal, and everything they could’ve hoped for.
