The Schuchert family decided to make their Hawaii vacation even more special by capturing beautiful moments with some Maui maternity photos on Po‘olenalena Beach. Kristen was expecting their second little one, and they wanted to blend the joy of a family shoot with the excitement of their growing family. As a local Maui photographer with a little family of my own, I was thrilled to help them make the most of this stunning spot. With my knowledge of the area and a knack for finding the perfect places, we turned their beach day into a memorable session full of natural, genuine photos.
Maui Maternity Photos: A Relaxed Family Session at Po‘olenalena Beach
Po’olenalena Beach was the perfect backdrop for this family maternity session. It’s a long stretch of soft sand with a mix of rocky areas and palm trees and is refreshingly less crowded. Kristen, James, and their two-year-old son, Nash, were looking for annual family photos that captured their genuine moments together. We kept things relaxed and natural, focusing on those little bursts of laughter and love. Their vibrant family dynamic radiated between playing on the beach, enjoying little walks, and hanging out. It was all about blending in the maternity moments while keeping the focus on their joyful, everyday life, a theme that resonates with all families.
We had a great time capturing all the special moments during the session. We got plenty of comforting shots, including some of Kristen and Nash sharing a sweet hug, James and Nash goofing around, and the whole family in those perfect beachy settings. There were also some beautiful solo shots of Kristen showing off her baby bump and Nash playing in the sand. Each photo tells a bit of their story. From playful interactions to those delicate family moments, the session truly reflects their joyful vibe.
