Our Family Vacation in Mexico | Baja California
Our recent trip to Baja, Mexico, was a refreshing change from our usual tropical island vibes. It was my first time there, and let me tell you, Baja didn’t disappoint. From stunning landscapes to a ton of fun adventures, our family vacation was packed with memories. But I’m not just here to share our travel stories (though there are plenty of those). I want to give you lovebirds a heads-up on what makes Baja, California, such a unique wedding spot. Picture this: stunning scenery, Mexican tunes playing in the background, and the ocean as your backdrop—it’s hard not to start dreaming about saying “I do” there. Whether you’re looking for family fun or scouting out the perfect wedding destination, you’re in the right place.
Celebrating milestones during our family vacation in Mexico
La Mision, Baja California, is like stepping into a postcard. Our trip was a mix of everything you’d want from a getaway:
- Quality family time
- Traditional Mexican cuisine (and beers).
- Wandering through local markets.
- Soaking up the history that seemed to echo through the old architecture.
But the true highlight of our trip was celebrating Michelle’s dad’s 70th birthday! Being with family was the best! There’s magic in those simple moments. It was a gentle nudge, reminding us of what truly matters—time spent with loved ones and the memories we made. I love that my kids get to embrace different cultures and travel destinations, and it’s always good to slow down from the hustle of everyday life.
A Baja California Wedding Experience with RMP
The Baja California area is a great spot for anyone considering a destination beach wedding. Soft sandy beaches, rugged mountains, and wide-open deserts—it’s all here. During our trip, we found some incredible locations perfect for a wedding, like hidden beach coves for a private ceremony or charming old villas for a sunset reception. Its scenery is rich in culture, which you can bring to your wedding with touches like a mariachi band or a menu of local dishes. Plus, it’s easy to get to. Whether you want a relaxed beach micro-wedding, something more significant at a resort, or a more adventurous and intimate elopement, Baja California has something.
