LAURA AND JUNIOR CHOOSE A MAUI BEACH WEDDING FOR THEIR INTIMATE DAY

Laura from New York and Junior from Maui, crossed paths around Lahaina where both lived at the time. Several years later, Junior visited Laura's workplace to ask about her. A few days after his initial visit, he returned, and to his excitement, she agreed to go on a date with him. Although we were not intimate friends, our paths crossed years ago when I was still bartending in the same town. I would have never expected they’d choose me to be their Hawaii wedding photographer, but I was honored! Witnessing their family and friends come together to help make this wedding day unique and special to them was truly fun to see. Notably, Junior's brother Marvin, an accomplished wedding musician, assumed the role of their day-of coordinator, juggling multiple responsibilities throughout the event. I also helped to construct a detailed timeline for their special day.

A TROPICAL MAUI BEACH WEDDING AT VILLAS BY THE COVE

Let me tell you, this was one beautiful celebration with Laura, Junior, and their crew. We're talking people flying in from all over the place—Hawaii, Samoa, New Zealand, and even the US mainland—to be a part of their epic Maui beach wedding. The energy was electric, from the incredible getting-ready photos to the reception. Hugs, handshakes, and non-stop storytelling were the name of the game.

Their first look was at a lush spot right by their cozy condo, which doubled as the ultimate stage for the ceremony and the reception. And when it came time for the bride and groom photos, we lucked out with this adorable little beach just a stone's throw away—total privacy, zero crowds, pure magic.

Also, we have to talk about the game-changer at the reception: the live band. Man, did they bring the heat! Jamming out to some sweet reggae and island music, they set the perfect mood for everyone to let loose. Laura and Junior's talented fam even jumped on stage to belt out a few tunes. Seriously, it felt as though vocal talent had been gifted to their entire family. Talk about an unforgettable night filled with laughter and killer music.
